Friends

One of the most sophisticated groups known to walk the face of the earth, friends of The Excelerators own businesses, run HR departments for major industrial corporations and generally are seen in public under only the most "suave & charming" of circumstances. Below is a list of websites of Friends of The Excelerators:

There's a new wedding site in town. If you need anything wedding oriented, this is the central clearing house for vendors.

Ed Albietz has a company that specializes in digital read out systems for machine tools like lathes, mills, grinders. The are called Accurate Measurement Systems (AMS for short). These folks are "The ONLY name to know in DRO" and you can find them at www.accuratemeasurementsystems.com

One night after coming home from a job, I noticed that the band equipment trailer was not handling well. After I got home, I noticed it was difficult to get the hitch off. Looking around, I noticed that I broke a suspension spring. While feeling extremely fortunate to have made it home, I knew that I would have to get parts quick in order to get the trailer back in service to pick up the stage gear the next night. The first number I called was W.M. Trailer in Marine, Illinois. Scott was there and said, "Sure, we can help you out ! Bring in your spring and we can match you up." I got the old sping off, which was no small chore with corroded, hardened steel parts that malleated all over the place. I made it to W.M. Trailer at exit 21 of Highway 70 (Illinois Route 4). They were the only thing located at the exit. Scott was there and he said he thought I would have a tractor trailer rig spring. I said we weren't that big of a band. He said no problem, he probably had what I needed. He took me out back, we matched up the spring and he got me lined out with all of the U-bolts, shackle bolts and all of the things I needed to get back into operation. This was great service. Everything fit great and I was back in service within an hour after Scott got me all fixed up and for a great price too. I highly recommend W.M. Trailers for all your trailer needs. You can call them at 618-644-3570 and if you have an emergency, owner Wayne Maedge can be reached at home at 618-675-3570 and they have a website at www.wmtrailer.com

He is known as "Rock & Roll Al." He roves North County as an electra-fried hippie (a professional electrical engineer with long hair) who will dazzle you with intellect, wit and brilliant humor. Singin' in bars, driving classic cars, this is a man after my own heart. Check out his website and scratch & sniff the surface of a highly evolved fart arm...or is it art form.....or is it life form....in any form, "Rock & Roll Al" is a phenomenom not to be missed and you can see what "I'm Talkin' 'bout" at www.RockNRollAl.com

Dianne Trombino owns her own photography business and as a true blues affection-ado, Di runs a local website devoted to all of her favorite blues performers. We will be telling her about our favorite blues band in the whole wide world...yep, your friends and ours, The Blackdog. Seriously, Di, nobody knows these guys, but they're "majoring in the minors" right here in the St. Louis metro area. You can check out Dianne's site at ladydibluescorner.com.

Countryside Auto Parts in Wright City helped me out with a great price on a windshield wiper motor for the "Rock & Roll" truck (as my son calls it) and actually delivered the part to Hillbilly Heaven for me one night. They saved me about $50 over prices I found in St. Louis and delivered the part to the club for me. (Hey Brent, I got it installed and it works great. "The check's in the mail" and tanx loads.) Anyway, these guys are online with an online inventory database. For any of you in the Westplex area, they are a stones throw away and make deliveries throughout the St. Louis area. They are located at 392 Zoar Church Rd in Wright City and can be reached toll free from St. Louis at 636-928-6792 or 636-745-2896. Their website is www.countrysideautoparts.com

Gwen Hodges of the St. Charles County Family Support Sevices says that they can always use tax deductible donations to their group who are trying to build their own facility. They have been in existence serving the entire St. Charles County area for over 45 years. Their website is www.Familysupportservices.org/
